What is ArieForce One Worth Today if it Were Sold?

Fun Spot America Atlanta is closing and many are wondering about the future of its iconic World-Class roller coaster ArieForce One. There have been rumors that it could be demolished for a tax write-off, moved to Fun Spot Orlando or sold to another company. With regard to the sale option, what would a fair price be for the ride? To figure this out we can use publicly available information about the cost of the ride and combine them with standard depreciation practices. When we take the cost and figure in depreciation we arrive at a figure of about $7 million.

You Can Own a Piece of Epic Universe! Comcast Spinning Off Theme Parks and Media Assets into New NBC Universal

Comcast has announced that upcoming spin off of its theme park and media assets separate from its broadband and wireless operations. This will place Universal’s theme park division inside a standalone media and entertainment company called NBC Universal with the communications business will remain known as Comcast. The new NBC Universal will be structured similar to Disney and this movie is being done with the hope that the market will value the new company like it does Disney. When you compare the two companies they are similar in market cap and annual revenue, but the stock price is a different matter as Disney stock trades at near double that of Comcast. Why is Disney stock worth more than Comcast stock?

Mythbusters Tested if a Giant Ball of LEGO Could Roll Over an Actual Car with the Help of LEGOLAND California!

Mythbusters has been off TV for a while, but you can now watch a bunch of their classic episodes for free on YouTube. One of those episodes tested if you could make a giant ball of LEGO that would roll down a hill and over a car! Obviously, it is possible to make a giant LEGO ball, so the myth centered more on its weight and the number of LEGO bricks it would take. The ball they constructed was amazing, made of solid LEGO bricks where some large builds may be hollow or use DUPLO at their core. The Mythbusters crew even visited their local LEGOLAND California park for some advice and also took in some rides while they were there.

LEGOLAND Florida is a Great Place to Celebrate America 250 and Surprisingly LEGOLAND Billund is too!

July 4th, 2026 is America’s 250th birthday and it’s been a year long celebration. If you want to get in a patriotic mood, LEGOLAND Florida is a great place to go. You’ll get to see some of the nation’s most iconic structures all created as LEGO brick builds. From the Statue of Liberty to the National Mall to an American Eagle, they’re all represented in LEGO. It’s Too Hot! Heat is a Serious Issue for Theme Parks

The heat index is forecast to be off the charts today in most of the United States. Heat can be a big danger, it kills more people each year than hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods combined. According to the EPA approximately 1,300 people die directly from heat-related issues yearly , but it’s estimated 10,000 people die yearly because of heat-exacerbated illness. Theme parks are primarily an outdoor activity leaving people susceptible to extreme heat. In temperatures like this it’s important to be aware of the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke before it’s too late.

There’s a Theme Park Right Next to the San Francisco World Cup Stadium

Levi's Stadium in February 2016 prior to Super Bowl 50
Levi’s Stadium in February 2016 prior to Super Bowl 50

There are six World Cup matches scheduled at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. This stadium is normally the home of the San Francisco 49ers, but for the World Cup FIFA requires branding to be removed or covered and it will just be known as San Francisco Bay Area Stadium. Did you know this stadium is literally right next door to California’s Great America, a Six Flags park. When you’re watching a match on TV and you see some of the aerial shots of the stadium you might just catch a glimpse of a roller coaster! It will probably see some extra guests, but also, due to its proximity, the park is serving as a major hub for World Cup logistics like match-day parking and traffic/pedestrian flow.

The New England Patriots Schedule Release Video Had Players on Coasters at Six Flags New England

The NFL schedule release day has become a much anticipated event on the spring sports calendar. The NFL Network has a TV special for it and fans anxiously await to see their team’s schedule. In the NFL your opponents for the following year are dictated by your finish, so who/where you play is not a mystery, but the dates are. Fans keenly await word about key opponents as well as nationally televised games or special dates like the first game of the year, Thanksgiving or Christmas. The teams also make their own videos for social media announcing their schedules, usually with some humerus theme, and fans look forward to these as well. The San Diego Chargers have become famous for their using video games like Halo, Minecraft and The Sims. This year the New England Patriots used players riding the roller coasters at Six Flags New England as their theme.

Fun Spot Atlanta to Close Permanently August 2, 2026 with Rumored Demolition of ArieForce One

Fun Spot America announced today that its Atlanta location in Fayetteville, Georgia will permanently close following its final day of operation on August 2, 2026. No fakes here unfortunately, it’s from the park’s own social media. You can see the press release below which came out just 24 hours after intense speculation began. This closing is obviously sudden and very sad. Nothing is known yet about the future of the park’s iconic and signature ride, ArieForce One (often referred to as AFO or AF1). This is considered by enthusiasts to be one of the best roller coasters in the World, so hopefully it lands somewhere. There are rumors of its demolition of ArieForce One for tax purposes, but hopefully this is not the case.

I Rode Dive Bomber at Six Flags White Water to Achieve LogRide Park Completion

Dive Bomber at Six Flags White Water

This past Sunday I finally got to ride Dive Bomber at Six Flags White Water and check the last remaining attraction I hadn’t ridden off my LogRide app. I use LogRide to track my roller coaster credits and everything else related to theme parks. It’s kind of addicting and if you’re prone to wanting “completion” like me you’ll sometimes ride stuff just to check it off. However, Dive Bomber was something I’ve wanted to ride for a couple years, it’s just been frequently closed.

Could Themed Restrooms Ever Be a Thing? Busch Gardens Already Has an Egypt Themed One!

Bathroom near Montu at Busch Gardens

Theme parks are known for being immersive, but that usually ends at the restroom door. A typical restroom is plain and boring, however there are some exceptions. In the men’s restroom near Montu at Busch Gardens Tampa you’ll see some great Egyptian art. This is mild theming, but still pretty cool. LEGOLAND Florida also has some great theming on the outside of the restroom near the front of its park. It has a huge LEGO plumber carrying a toilet and he even talks with several humorous phrases and even a knock-knock joke! These examples are the exceptions though, so is the lack of restroom theming perhaps a lost opportunity for parks?
