Six Flags teased a major announcement for today and it did not disappoint, SIX FLAGS HAS ACQUIRED ARIEFORCE ONE! We’ve known for about a week now that ArieForce One was sold because of Fun Spot’s Announcement, but to who was a mystery. There was much speculation that today was going to be an ArieForce One announcement, but there was a possibility it was something else (like the new Magoc Mountain coaster). Six Flags announced on social media, “Some roller coasters become rides. Others become legends. We’re excited to share that ArieForce One has officially joined our family.”

So we know Six Flags corporate has purchased the coaster, but we still don’t know where it’s going and evidently neither do they! What we do know it that it will be introduced for the 2028-2029 operating season. Additional details regarding the attraction’s future location, construction timeline and reopening plans will be announced at a later date. Until then, the coaster community’s biggest mystery remains unsolved. Which Six Flags park will become the new home of ArieForce One? Let the guessing begin.

Each organization really spoke highly of the others and it seems the “ArieForce One” name, theme and legacy will be preserved as well!

So the word from insiders at Six Flags is that they sincerely don’t know where the coaster will end up yet, but they hope to make an announcement by the end of the year. No doubt there’s a short list with places like Kings Island frequently mentioned, but a smaller park without an RMC like Darien Lake could also benefit, so I imagine park presidents are preparing their pitches now. It could even potentially move just a few miles to Six Flags Over Georgia (although they already have an RMC with Twisted Cyclone)? Wherever it goes it will take some time to plan and prepare a new site as well as to disassemble and move the coaster, so although 2028 seems a ways away, it makes sense. The most important question of if ArieForce One would be saved has thankfully already been answered, so let the speculation begin as we’ve moved from literally a world of possibilities down to just 18 parks (and realistically a few less). Where will ArieForce One go?
