The Gators Live show at Wild Adventures Theme Park is a chance to see the American Alligator up-close and learn more about them. The show focuses on the natural history and conservation of the alligator and and a couple other animal ambassadors like a Burmese Python and a tortoise. Guests get to watch expert gator handlers engage with these animals. In many cases audience members, especially children, have the opportunity to be extremely close to or even touch the animals! Here is a basic review of Gators Live and what else you can expect during the show.

The Gators Live show is in the Alapaha Theater located near Swamp Thing and the entrance to the Alapaha Trail. The theater is essentially dedicated to the show with a giant logo on its outside wall. Gators Live is held outdoors, but the theater has good shading for warm summer days. The stage has a marina vibe that works well with the show. Gators Live is typically hosted by two expert gator handlers. This no doubt is somewhat related to safety when dealing with wild animals, but it also allows for continuous engagement with the audience while new animals are brought to the stage. The experts do a great job of making the show safe while allowing those who choose to touch some of the animals. The experts bring the animals to the front of the stage along the first couple rows, so if you don’t want to get too close, just sit a few rows back.

During the show guests will learn many great facts about gators, snakes and tortoises. Additionally the animal experts will share helpful tips about how humans can safely coexist with these creatures since our habitats now often intersect. Guests will walk away with a greater appreciation and respect for alligators as well as some helpful tips should they ever encounter one in the wild.

Gators Live is an exceptional show that fits well with the vibe of Wild Adventures, especially the neighboring Alapaha Trail. The show is about 20 minutes of fast paced animal information and interaction. It’s a great experience for kids and adults and you’ll be both entertained and educated.
