The famous YouTube trick shot artists Dude Perfect are opening their first theme park. To be more specifici they are opening a construction-themed trick shot zone as part of the new Dig World theme park in Grapevine,TX opening this summer. In the Dude Perfect Zone guests will attempt three outrageous construction/sports trick shots from Dude Perfect. Dig World opened its first facility in Katy, TX in 2022 with a goal of a national roll out with the Grapevine location as its second location in this plan. The chain is partnered with Caterpillar to let kids and adults safely operate real, full-sized Cat machinery. Attractions Magazine recently reported that bookings are now open for Dig World in Grapevine for July 2026, so opening day is not far away!

Dig World is not the only player in the construction theme park area as we’ve reported in the past with our review of Dig’n Zone in Pigeon Forge, TN and there’s also Diggerland near Philadelphia. However, Dig World has a slightly different model that’s meant to cater more to a local crowd as opposed to a tourist crowd. While Dig’n Zone is perched just minutes away from Dollywood the two Dig World locations are also located near large malls as opposed to being standalone attractions. Dig’n Zone also operates in more of a traditional theme park model to pay one price and play for the whole day while Dig World offers a cheaper price of under $30, but play is in two hours blocks. The expected time and price difference make sense though as the Dig World sites are significantly smaller than Dig’n Zone. This is no slight to Dig World though as just as there are larger and smaller traditional theme parks across the country, there is more than enough room for several players in the construction park space.

The actual Dude Perfect trick shots at Grapevine appear similar to challenges already existing at the Katy facility. However, they should benefit nicely from some Dude Perfect theming. I see this akin to taking a traditional ride platform and putting an IP on it, but in this case the IP is a group of content creators known for their over-the-top antics. Dude Perfect is known for sports, so a sports overlay using construction equipment is to be expected. The three visible on the rendering are Exca-Putter, Truck Chuck and Barrel Ball. Things like the Exca-Putter or the Rubber Ducky Pickup from Katy would be even better with a Dude Perfect overlay.

Dude Perfect has racked up billions of views, so the park shouldn’t be hurting for publicity either along with the fact that the chain was once featured on Shark Tank. Word is the Katy facility is doing quite well as this should be kid paradise for things like a birthday party. If it worlks in suburban Houston (Katy) there’s no reason to think it won’t work in suburban Dallas (Grapevine). The Dude Perfect involvement should only add to the excitement of these parks going forward and as large construction equipment challenges and Dude Perfect appear to be a perfect match, especially in Texas. It will be great to see exactly how this IP is incorporated into the park later this summer!
