The Blue Ghost Arcade is located in Woodstock, Georgia, a northern suburb of Atlanta. Their motto is, “Connecting an old generation of games with a new generation of players” and that couldn’t be more true. The Blue Ghost Arcade is a retro arcade featuring classic 80s/90s video games, pinball, consoles and board games. There’s a full bar, but it’s also totally kid friendly. The arcade uses a “pay-one-price” model with daily passes for unlimited free play on all games and complimentary popcorn. This is a great place to have a nostalgic video game experience with decor that matches down to a wall made completely of old VHS tapes! This is a review from a theme park fan of all the fun you can have at the Blue Ghost.

New Six Flags Meal Credits May be a Good Option for Less Frequent Guests, but Not Everyone Happy with Meal Plan Changes

Six Flags has made some big changes in its meal plans for 2027 and not everyone is happy. Many of the unlimited plans got eliminated or more expensive with the one able to be used at multiple parks now going for $400. However, there is a tad of a silver lining in that there is a new credit system available. At Six Flags Over Georgia, for example, you can get 20 credits (meals) for $89 and 30 meals for $129. That a little over $4/meal, about 25% of regular price. There is also only a two hour waiting period between meals (instead of the old 4 hours) and no daily maximum. On the downside though, these credits are only good at your home park.

There’s Still an RMC in Georgia Called Twisted Cyclone and it’s Pretty Good

Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) roller coaster ArieForce One at Fun Spot Atlanta closed on August 2, 2026. Everyone is hopeful it will be relocated somewhere, but it probably won’t be in Georgia as its future is unknown. However, there’s still an RMC coaster in Georgia and it’s pretty darn good. Twisted Cyclone is located at Six Flags Over Georgia and opened in 2018 as a conversion of the former Georgia cyclone. Twisted Cyclone features 3 inversions and 10 airtime hills. It was designed by RMC coaster legend Alan Schilke. It’s on the shorter side at 2,400 feet, but packs one heck of a punch.

The Final Day of ArieForce One and Fun Spot Atlanta

August 2, 2026 marked the last day for Fun Spot Atlanta and ArieForce One and Inwas lucky enough to be there. Lots of feelings for sure as I attended opening day of ArieForce One just a little over 3 years ago. This article isn’t about what might be next for the iconic coaster, but instead is just a recap of the day. I arrived at 9:30am and the ticket line was already long. ArieForce was already running as ACE had an ERT event that morning. John Arie, Jr. (Fun Spot owner) came out at 9:45am and gave a brief, but moving talk thanking the fans and the park staff and declared the park open a few minutes early.

Free Refills All Season with a Souvenir Tumbler Drink Plan at Enchanted Parks

Enchanted Parks purchased several locations from Six Flags including Worlds of Fun, Valleyfair, Six Flags St. Louis, Schlitterbahn Waterpark Galveston, Michigan’s Adventure and Six Flags Great Escape. Enchanted Parks has declared this a year of transition for the properties it purchased and that means the potential for a bit of confusion with things like drink plans. The good news is that if you have a drink plan like the “paper cup plan” from Six Flags it will be honored this year at Enchanted Parks and if you have a 2026 Six Flags all season souvenir bottle they will fill it. If you have neither, you can get an Enchanted Parks Souvenir Tumbler for either $19.99 for the day or $36.99 for the season. A single day bottle can be actived for another day for only $6.99.

Great Pumpkin LumiNights at Wild Adventures will be bigger and better than ever this year. The event will run from September 26, 2026 until November 1, 2026. Guests will be able to explore the park and see towering pumpkin sculptures (some with famous faces and places from Georgia and Georgia), experience over one million twinkling lights, sample some foods from the nation’s largest Pumpkin Spice Festival and trick or treat a long Spookly’s Trail. The park promises, “More Lights. More Pumpkins. More FUN!” and this is on top of all the regular great rides, food, animals and other attractions.

On a recent trip to New York I had a chance to experience the newer Vekoma vest restraints on both an SLC and a Boomerang. I rode the SLC Mind Eraser at Darien Lake and the Boomerang Flashback at Darien Lake. For me they offered a sincerely improved ride on both attractions. The difference was especially noticeable for my 10 year old son on Mind Eraser as he is much more prone to head-banging with his barely 54” height. These restraints were comfortable and also look great on the new trains. I had ridden Boomerang at Darien Lake as well (which has the classic over the shoulder restraints) and the difference between it and Flashback at Great Escape were quite noticeable. Boomerang wasn’t bad, but the new trains and restraints on Flashback made for a better experience.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay officially opened the all-new Lion & Hyena Ridge on Saturday, July 25th. The new area is massive at 38,000 square feet and houses the largest coalition of lions in an Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) accredited facility. Guests will have the chance to meet lions Pascal, Lou, Hugo, Henri and Herman and hyenas Dazi and Cazi. The exhibit offers incredible 270-degree views of the habitat which mimics an authentic environment with Kopje-style rock formations and naturalistic terrain. Designed to deliver an immersive safari-style experience, Lion & Hyena Ridge features expansive glass viewing areas that offer guests remarkable face-to-face perspectives of the animals. Guests can also explore interactive cave spaces and cross overhead bridges, creating unique vantage points throughout the expansive habitat.
