Witches take over The Orlando Eye for world record

On October 21, 2026, 184 guests dressed as witches took to the skies aboard The Orlando Eye, establishing a new world record for the most people dressed as witches on an observation wheel.  Pointed hats and cloaks filled the attraction’s capsules as participants soared 400 feet above Orlando for the Halloween celebration. These types of promotional events are just pure fun and the pictures of pointy hats in shadow in the capsules are amazing.

The Orlando Eye is owned by Merlin Entertainments (parent company of LEGOLAND and also owners of the London Eye), so there were surprise appearances by LEGOLAND Florida Resort’s Wacky Witch and Peppa Pig Theme Park’s Peppa Pig – dressed in her witch costume. This was one of several great events Merlin has going on for Halloween including The Great Wax Heist at Madame Tussauds located in the base of the wheel and Brick or Treat at LEGOLAND Florida. Get out and enjoy some great fall family fun!
