Cornado at Copper Creek Farm in Calhoun, Georgia Continues the Trend of Rides at a Pumpkin Patch

Copper Creek Farm is a massive pumpkin patch experience located just outside Calhoun, Georgia. You’ll find all the regulars like a corn maze, hayride, great food and areas for kids to play, but you’ll also find unique items like pig races, a pumpkin cannon, pumpkin/chicken animatronics and a new great ride called Cornado! The lines between family entertainment and a theme park continue to be blurred as animatronic figuresand rides at a pumpkin patch were rare a decade ago, but now are becoming more common. New for Copper Creek Farms this year is a flat spinning ride called Cornado. The Cornado is manufactured by Amusement Devices & Manufacturing (ADM Rides) that is appropriately based in Schaller, Iowa. Cornado is part of its agritourism attractions line for venues such as pumpkin patches, apple orchards, and corn mazes. The ride really fits Copper Creek perfectly with a corn field as a backdrop.

Cornado is a first step into a major ride for Copper Creek (other than some small kid horses and carousel) and ADM makes multiple more rides if they want to continue to add more in the coming years. Some pumpkin patches resemble carnivals now and a few even have permanent roller coasters. If it brings in customers the trend of adding rides to a pumpkin patch is likely to continue. You can get into a place like Copper Creek for about $25 and get a whole day of family entertainment. If you layer in the ability to enjoy a few rides it really makes it a good bargain for families on a budget who want some outdoor fun with a few thrills.

Copper Creek Farm is open for the season until October 31, 2026, but be aware that Cornado only runs on the weekends. A pumpkin patch is a great way to get into the fall spirit, take some great family photos and make lifetime memories. If you’re like us you’ll find yourself returning to the same place year after year to take the same photo that can be put together like a time machine through childhood. Copper Creek Farm is a great place and every review I’ve heard from fellow guests has been stellar, so if you go once it will likely become a family tradition.
