Six Flags Fiesta Texas has opened a new DC Universe themed land, the largest of any in the United States. The new DC Universe themed area on March 1, 2025 and features three all-new rides: CYBORG™ Cyber Revolution, SHAZAM!™ Tower of Eternity, and METROPOLIS™ Transit Authority. Also included in DC Universe will be exciting updates to several existing rides and a newly remodeled Daily Planet. Fiesta Texas often seems to be on the upper tier of Six Flags parks with theming and attention to detail, like those at the New DC Universe, that aren’t universal across the chain.

The three new rides are essentially a Zamperla NebulaZ, a Zamperla Sky Tower family drop tower and Zamperla aerial monorail ride. These are essentially “off the shelf” rides, but what sets them apart is the theming and story. Of the new attractions the real gem appears to be the METROPOLIS™ Transit Authority tram/train/monorail ride. This is almost like a callback to rides like the PeopleMover at Magic Kingdom and it will add a great kinetic element to the area.

  • CYBORG Cyber Revolution: Riders will experience a dizzying adventure unlike any other, where four giant mechanical arms rotate around each other in an exhilarating interlocking pattern. As the ride spins, the entire structure rotates, creating a hypnotic, multi-dimensional sensation of speed and movement. This stunning technological marvel offers families and brave guests a heart-pounding ride inspired by CYBORG’s fusion of man and machine.
  • SHAZAM! Tower of Eternity: A family-friendly drop tower that propels guests 70 feet into the sky before delivering a series of unpredictable, gravity-defying drops. This ride, inspired by the power of SHAZAM, guarantees laughter, screams, and endless fun for Super Heroes of all ages.
  • METROPOLIS Transit Authority: Guests will soar above the park aboard this monorail-style train, offering a scenic aerial tour of the newly expanded DC Universe themed area. Take in panoramic views from 17 feet above the action while cruising through Metropolis.

Several rides in the area are also getting new themes and new names or as the park termed it, they’re being reimagined. The SkyScreamer has become SUPERGIRL Sky Flight, Rambling Road has become THE PENGUIN: Gotham City Getaway and Sky Searcher has become POISON IVY Toxic Spin. All three of them appear to fit their DC theme quite well.

This goes along with the 2024 retheming of the Vekoma family Streamliner Coaster into BATGIRL: Coaster Chase. There are also other classics like SUPERMAN: KRYPTON Coaster, DC Super-Villans Swing, GREEN LANTERN Emerald Flight and THE JOKER: Carnival of Chaos. Also, looming in the background, but technically outside the DC Universe are BATMAN: The Ride and WONDER WOMAN Golden Lasso Coasterin Rockville and Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger in the Crackaxle Canyon Screampunk District.

As mentioned before, Six Flags Fiesta Texas is considered by many enthusiasts to be one of the gems of the Six Flags chain. It was even cited in the Cedar Fair merger as one of the most desirable Six Flags parks both for its year round operations and high quality. Much of this is credited to park President Jeffrey Siebert. Mr. Siebert is credited with much of the unique culture found at Fiesta Texas leading a team with an eye for making wise capital and marketing decisions.

It’s great to see new rides and old rides reimagined come together to form a new cohesive themed land. It’s touches like this that separate a theme park from an amusement park. DC Universe also appears to have a strong family bend with most of the rides being able to be enjoyed by younger children. It’s a shame the KID FLASH Cosmic Coaster has closed as it would have fit so well. Families are the financial lifeblood of most themed parks, so this family focused area will no doubt serve them well in both attracting guests and in selling a bunch of merchandise.
