We didn’t have to wait long to find out where ArieForce One is headed. The Orange County Register has reported and the Six Flags Magic Mountain president has confirmed that the ride is headed to the California park. Coaster Studios also reported track arriving at the park today. It was originally thought the track might be headed west to RMC for some modifications, but instead it was headed to Magic Mountain.
Very little is known at this time about where the coaster might get installed in the park. Brian Oerding, park president of Six Flags Magic Mountain said the relocation will be a major engineering undertaking and it’s understandable as there doesn’t seem to be a “Goldilocks” piece of land available. From Mr. Oerding’s statement below it doesn’t seem like the park even knows where it’s going yet.

The obvious location would be on the plot currently occupied by X2, but ArieForce One or the terrain may need modifications to make that work due to elevation changes. Mr. Oerding also hinted that there are far bigger things coming than ArieForce One:
“Let’s just say the future of Magic Mountain is far bigger than what may be arriving on trucks this week. What guests are seeing is just the beginning of one of the most significant transformations in the park’s history.”
-Brian Oerding, park president of Six Flags Magic Mountain
That’s quite a tease and very much a reason to be excited about the future of Magic Mountain. The park has lost two major attractions recently with X2 and Superman, so Six Flags sending a know world class coaster makes some sense. It’s no consolation for a place like King’s Island, but in business sometimes plans must change due to unforeseen circumstances. So one of the biggest mysteries in roller coasters has now been revealed and we can now monitor construction and any modifications required to fit ArieForce One in its new home.
