The Water Park in the Movie “Nobody 2” Was Based on Bob Odenkirk’s Childhood Wisconsin Dells Trips

In the action comedy “Nobody 2” Hutch Mansell (played by Bob Odenkirk) is a “working class” dad who happens to be an assassin. The plot centers on him taking his family on a vacation to Plummerville, a resort area from his childhood with an iconic water park, Wild Bill’s Majestic Midway and Waterpark. However, Plummerville is a stand-in for Wisconsin Dells where Odenkirk took vacations as a child and “Wild Bill” is a stand-in for the iconic Tommy Bartlett who built many of the famous Wisconsin Dells attractions. Nobody 2 wasn’t filmed in Wisconsin Dells though, but near Winnipeg Canada (same as the original) water park scenes being shot at the Lilac Resort in nearby Saint Anne. A carnival was constructed in Winnipeg Beach and these scenes were later stitched together through the magic of editing.

Review of the New Wisconsin Dells Mountain Coaster: A Fast Ride Through the Woods on Wisconsin’s First and Only Mountain Coaster

New for 2025 is the Wisconsin Dells Mountain Coaster, which is Wisconsin’s first and currently only mountain coaster. This may be the first mountain coaster in Wisconsin, but if you’ve ridden a mountain coaster in a place like Pigeon Forge this Wiegand creation will feel very familiar to you. That’s not a bad thing though, this is a really fun coaster in a great location. You could summarize this coaster with two words, smooth and fast. Some mountain coasters take a bit to get going, but from the moment you’re released from the lift hill this coaster is flying and doesn’t slow down until the bottom while giving a glass smooth ride.

The 2025 NFL Draft is headed to Green Bay, Wisconsin form April 24-26, 2025. It was also just announced from Bay Beach Facilities Supervisor, Britney Burkart-Labar that the city owned Bay Beach Amusement park will be open to coincide with the draft, operating on Wednesday, April 23 through Saturday, April 26 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m . What is Bay Beach you might ask? It’s a 100+ year old amusement park on the shore of Lake Michigan that is home to a world class wooden roller coaster that Elvis loved called Zippin Pippin and you can ride it for only $1.50!
