The Firehouse BBQ at Six Flags Over Georgia (SFOG) has been nominated for “Best Theme Park Restaurant” in USA Today’s 2026 10BEST. Firehouse BBQ was a new dining option for 2025 at SFOG and it’s great to see it already getting such great recognition. We had a chance to review Firehouse BBQ last year and it’s easily the best dining experience in the park and part of a broader initiative to improve dining options across the chain. This has included multiple Six Flags parks hiring their first-ever executive chefs including Jeremy Hacker at Six Flags Great Adventure, Josh Streeter at Six Flags New England and Priscilla Nicole at Six Flags Over Georgia. I’ve personally met Pricilla, she is simply wonderful and has been doing great work for the park.

With a vintage firehouse facade, this quick-service spot delivers slow-smoked meats with Southern swagger. Pulled pork sandwiches, slow-smoked brisket, hand-breaded chicken tenders, garlicky smashed potatoes, and warm peach cobbler make it a solid pit stop for barbecue enthusiasts.

New this season, the park debuts Georgia Sandwich Company, a dining concept that features fresh ingredients, large portions and delicious sandwiches, seasonal soups, salads, house-made chips and succulent desserts. Equipped with a full bar and fast service, Georgia Sandwich Company’s menu is inspired by local flavors and hearty options to satisfy the whole family. The restaurant is a renovation of the former  JB’s Sports Bar and Grille, but don’t worry as it appears everything that made that location great is being preserved like the patio dining, bar and even some of the Atlanta sports things. The park has been putting out a bunch of information about the new restaurant on its social media with it scheduled to open later this year.

Six Flags Over Georgia dining is only getting better and hopefully Georgia Sandwich Company will be as great of a fit as Firehouse BBQ was last year. You can vote for Firehouse BBQ once per day until polls close on Monday, April 20 at noon ET and the winning restaurants will be announced on Wednesday, April 29. As of March 30, 2025 Firehouse BBQ at SFOG is currently ranked #8 of 20 for Best Theme Park Restaurant, so get those votes in and help move it up the rankings!
