If you are active duty or retired military or a department of defense civilian employee you can get a Universal Orlando Resort Annual Pass incredibly cheaply. The pass is called the Military Freedom Pass and it starts at just $220 (compared to the cheapest standard pass at $425). You can choose From 2-Park or 3-Park options where Volcano Bay is added as the 3rd park. Keep in mind that no Universal annual pass currently gets you into Epic Universe, but more on that later. This is quite the bargain when a single day ticket starts at $119, so for less than the cost of 2 days you get the whole year.

The blackout dates on the Freedom pass are also very minimal, with essentially just the days between Christmas and New Years and one week of peak spring break. Volcano Bay is only blocked from the end of October until mid December. To add Volcano Bay it’s just $35 more for the 3-park pass compared to the 2-park pass, far less than the cost of a single day ticket to the park.

You might be wondering, but what about Epic Universe? For this there’s the Universal Epic Universe 2026 Military Freedom Pass Add-on Ticket where Military Freedom Pass Holders can experience Universal Orlando Resort’s newest theme park with special access to 1-Day Universal Epic Universe Tickets. Freedom pass Holders can purchase up to six (6) specially priced 1-Day Universal Epic Universe Tickets with the service member’s linked Military Freedom Pass and Military ID required for entry to the park. Keep in mind this is a very similar policy to other passes that also currently do not have unlimited access to Epic Universe.

The Freedom Pass isn’t something you can buy online, instead you must present your current and valid qualifying Military ID or Department of Defense identification at any participating Authorized Military Ticket & Travel office. Eligible Service Members include Department of Defense Civilian personnel,Active Duty, Reservist, National Guard, and Retired members of all branches of the U.S. Military and/or their spouses as well as Disabled Veterans. This is a GREAT offer that you should not miss if you qualify.
