If you’re like me you have a small collection of souvenir refill bottles from theme parks. Probably my biggest collection is from my home park, Six Flags Over Georgia. However. when I renewed my season pass this year there was a new option for 2026, a paper cup option. It is quite similar to the sports bottles with refills available every 15 minutes, but you don’t need the bottle as you’ll get a new paper cup each time. Upon a little research, it appears this paper cup program has been an option at the legacy Cedar Fair parks since 2017 that is now coming to the legacy Six Flags parks. Signs are also pointing to this being the only option in 2026 as there is no 2026 bottle option online.
On the Six Flags pass Add-Ons page there are actually two options for the 2026 drink program, the 2026 ALL SEASON DRINK PLAN PAPER CUP and 2026 ALL SEASON DRINK PLAN PLUS PAPER CUP which includes ICEEs and hot beverages. These plans are priced at $36.99 and $53.99 respectively, which makes the former option comparable to the annual souvenir sports bottle. I purchased the new “plus” plan as part of my pass renewal as it was also good for the remainder of the 2025 season. The first weekend it was active the food stand staff was pretty clueless about it, but over Labor Day weekend it worked perfectly. With a young son the ICEE benefit is a huge benefit too as we typically buy 1-2 of those each visit. The plans also appear portable to other Six Flags Parks (as the bottles were in recent years to other legacy Six Flags parks).

We’ve covered drink programs quite a bit from Busch Gardens to Wild Adventures as they’re a big deal for families with season passes not wanting to pay regular prices every time. This new program seems to be a big win for customers. Not only do you not have to remember your bottle or worry if it’s clean, but with the ability to get a new cup every 15 minutes it could be easier to share with another family member. The option to get ICEE and hot chocolate refills is a great bonus too. The paper cup is smaller than a bottle, but you have the benefit that you don’t have to carry the bottle all day or store it in lockers or ride stations. The fun of seeing the new bottle design every year will be a bit of a loss as is a great little souvenir, but overall the new paper cup program should be an improvement for most customers.
