Wild Oasis opened to the public on July 15, 2025 after a couple of delays, but appears to be worth the wait. This isn’t just a ride, but a whole new area or realm of the park located in Jungala. This area contains a family drop tower ride, climbing area, splash pad, interactive elements and a new animal habitat including Capybaras! I want to give a HUGE shout-out to @SaxOnTracks for the images in this article from the grand opening festivities, he’s a great follow for the latest happenings at Busch Gardens.

Wild Oasis has 5 main parts, Enchanted Falls (splash pad), Treetop Drop (family drop tower), Canopy Climb (playground climbing area), Habitat Hideaway (animals) and Rainforest Quest (interactive activities). If you remember this area of the park prior to renovation you’ll find it pretty similar, but there are some completely new animal additions.

Everything here is tweaked out like the former Wild Surge becoming Treetop Drop with tons of special effects or colorful huge statues now adorning the entrance. The addition of capybaras is also great and the inclusion of animals really helps separate this from the Sesame Street themed kids area in the park. Busch Gardens has also added a bunch of interactive and informational elements to the animal exhibits that you can see in this @SaxOnTracks video. This area is in a bit of a quieter corner of the park with just the train passing by occasionally.

After being closed for several years it is great to see this area of the park roar back to life. Wild Oasis isn’t necessarily totally new, but everything is vastly improved from the original. This area was perhaps underutilized before and a bit of a hidden gem, but this revitalization will make this a must visit for families. The quality and detail of Wild Oasis is off the charts as this is far more than a fresh coat of paint. It’s a merger of artistic beauty, technology and nature in an immersive environment that guests will enjoy for years to come.
