Dynabrook Greenhouse & Pumpkin Patch in Harrodsburg, KY looks like an amazing place to spend a fall day. However, unlike you standard pumpkin patch that may have a hayride, corn maze or maybe a small flat ride, this place also has a roller coaster! The coaster is called “Happy Bee” is a powered coaster made by Chinese manufacturer Henan Beston. The roller coaster isn’t anything huge of course, but the fact that they have a permanent coaster at a pumpkin patch is pretty cool.

Powered coasters can be a lot of fun with great theming and we’ve written in the past about the similar Rudicoaster at Santa’s Land in North Carolina. The theme of a bee is great for a farm, greenhouse and pumpkin patch with the growing focus on protecting pollinators due to their essentially irreplaceable importance for fruits, vegetables and flowers. Below is a POV of the ride from YouTube courtesy of the Society of Amusement Park History. Also a huge thanks to @one.click.gang for the great pics in this article.
Dynabrook also hosts a bunch of other flat rides as well including tea cups, train, carousel, swings and a Dizzy Disco. During Halloween season unlimited rides can be had on all of these for only a $5 wristband.

Just as I was completing this article I saw another pumpkin patch add a coaster just this month. Vala’s Pumpkin Patch added a Zamperla Family Coaster that opened on October 23, 2024 in Gretna, Nebraska. Halloween season has essentially come to an end, but perhaps this is part of a new trend? In looking around on my LogRide app there are several pumpkin patches with small coasters. Next fall there will be at least a couple new coasters to check out and hopefully many more in the future.
