In the south it feels like spring is here. Daffodils are blooming, temperatures are warming and trees are budding. This also means the return of most of our favorite theme parks! Some of the new rides and attractions may not be ready yet, but the parks will be open. The parks are open more days than ever (for example Dollywood is open 280 days this year, 23 more than last year), which means greater value for our season passes and more fun! Here is a partial list of opening days:

• March 2nd Six Flags Over Georgia
• March 9th Dollywood
• March 9th Carowinds
• March 15th Wild Adventures

It’s always great to get back into the parks and see what has changed. Whether it’s a new paint job on a roller coaster or monitoring construction on an upcoming attraction, there’s almost always something new to see. Things I’m personally excited for in 2024 include:

• Georgia Surfer at Six Flags Over Georgia (Summer of 2024)
• Dinosaur Explore at Wild Adventures
• Camping at a Theme Park at Wild Adventures (Fall of 2024)
• The new Dolly Parton Experience at Dollywood
• The “high speed chain lift” for Lightning Rod at Dollywood
• Visiting Carowinds for the first time
