April 2025 Update: As of late 2024 the refill price is now $1.99. Given inflation this is still a great deal. Cups are priced at $19.99 each (with unlimited refills the day you buy it) and get as cheap as $15.99 if you buy multiple cups. You can use the same cup for years across the whole chain of parks. All day unlimited refills on an old cup are $6.99 to $8.99 depending on if you are at at SeaWorld, Aquatica or Busch Gardens. You’ll usually get a sticker showing you have free refills for the day. If you get a meal plan you can upgrade to a souvenir cup with unlimited refills for $5.99. Any of these on a hot summer day or sharing with a significant others can be still be a great deal.

Busch Gardens has one of the best beverage refill programs. Like many parks they have souvenir sports bottles that have unlimited refills the day you buy them. However, my favorite part is that on future days you can get refills for just $0.99! You can use the same bottles year after year and you can use them at different SeaWorld Parks (prices vary a little) and even refill them with slush. Our bottles (see below) are about 5 years old and have been to Busch Gardens Williamsburg and SeaWorld Orlando.

The bottles typically are around $13 to start, but if you buy more you get a discount. The program has morphed and changed some in the past few years. I’ve seen it on other sites that slush refills are $1.29 now, but I’ve always only been charged $0.99. A couple of years ago the refill price was up at $1.99, but the price is back down now. Probably best not to have a bunch of dehydrated people in the Florida heat. You can also use an old bottle and pay for unlimited refills for around $6.99 (last I checked), but with the crossover being ~7 refills we typically pay a la cart. Being a season pass holder it’s nice to be able to go for only a few hours and get 1-2 refills without paying for the whole day.
Parks like Six Flags offer a season long bottle, but after that year that bottle is toast and there’s no further refill option. You also need to buy a completely separate bottle for ICEE refills. Dollywood also has a great program allowing for a “per refill” price or an all day price, but the slushies (great for a hot day) are a significant upcharge at $3 compared to $2 for soda.
There are many refill stations throughout the park. Most every food service will have one, but there are also beverage specific ones. Two of my favorites are the one by the entrance to Montu and the one just next to the Zagora Cafe on the Cheetah Hunt side. Booth of these have Coke Freestyle machines as well as an assortment of slushies. One other one of interest is integrated into the train station by Sheikra that serves various unsweet teas, although it seems it is rarely open.
Of course my favorite refill program might be Fun Spot. They have beer refills all season for just $3.99! Either way, get yourself a sports bottle to save money and you’ll help the environment too with less trash from the cups, straws and lids.
